About Tara

Picture

Tara has been serving and teaching across Canada and Asia, as yoga and thai massage specialist. She loves passing on the ancient wisdom teachings of the east in practical ways that can enhance our day to day lives.

Tara first discovered Thai Massage in 2010, and began offering relaxation inspired sessions in Toronto after completing her first training.  In 2015, she took the leap from a rewarding career in social enterprise development, to embodying her yoga and healing practice full time. She began travelling annually to Thailand,  staying for months at a time to study with various teachers and masters, it was here she began to understand the true healing capacity of this ancient form of bodywork. She is not only inspired by the meditative nature of each session, but honored every time , she witnesses a clients eyes become brighter, and long held patterns, emotion and tensions dissolve.

She is is a member of Thai Healing Alliance International and recognized with both an Advanced, and Instructor standing.  Over the past decade she has completed over 700 hour of Yoga Teacher Training, and holds over 1000 hours of teaching experience. She deeply feels that Yoga and Ayurveda are transformative tools that can awaken us to our highest potential and help us step into an unprecedented level of vibrant health and connection to our Higher Selves.

She was originally initiated into the path of Raja Yoga by her first teacher in 2009, and was able to (through a dedicated and disciplined practice) move through personal life and health challenges, and understand the transformative power of Yoga. This was her catalyst for a decade of learning and growth, and she has since had the honor and privilege to study and grow with various teachers and healers across the globe. She is touched by, and forever grateful for the esteemed faculty at Kripalu Yoga, Reusis from Thailand, Amma, as well as her Sisters and Grandmothers in the Moon Dance Lineage.

Today, she works with women in her private practice and through sacred selfcare programs, helping them to embody their highest potential, by adopting the habits and mindsets they need to open to inspired action and new possibilities for the health and life.
She  also holds a 1200 hour Certification in Ayurvedic Health Counselling from the California College of Ayurveda, and weaves this with her background in health coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
